Wow, what a beautiful wedding we had the pleasure of covering last Saturday at Gulval Church then onto Lanyon Manor for the reception.
Geoff married Holly (known to all of Cornwall as Holly Day from Cornwall’s most popular radio station Pirate FM)
We were thrilled to be shooting this wedding as we have shot a family wedding before with Geoff’s side of the family and couldn’t have asked for a nicer bunch. I loved the fact Geoff’s Dad was the best man, and he really was the best man for the job! He surprised the wedding party with cars and fireworks, he ran around organising things and worked so hard to make the day run perfectly, but to me it also summed up just how close this family are, which is so lovely. Holly’s sister was the bridesmaid and friends and family gathered at the brides house in the morning, Holly’s Mum had everything organised and Holly’s Dad kept it all running on time. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces at yet another gorgeous wedding!
We had a wonderful morning of capturing wedding moments here and there, we started at the grooms house, we then went to see Holly at her parents home, then the Church, over to stunning St.Micheal’s Mount for some bride and groom shots then onto the reception venue Lanyon Manor.
This gorgeously well matched pair were such a delight. Holly looked incredible in her tulle dress with a crystal bodice. She was a picture perfect bride. Geoff and his men and the bridesmaids looked amazing and the pastel mint green was such a fab colour to compliment the wedding.
Holly’s uncle married them so the service was so very special and meaningful, everything ran on time and it wasn’t long before we were on the sand with the marvelous backdrop of St.Micheal’s Mount behind us for some amazing photos.
This was a first for us working at Lanyon Manor and what a venue! the amazing house with so many fabulous sitting rooms that the guests could use, wonderful gardens, swimming pool and room for a massive marque, where the wedding breakfast was served.
Guests spilled out onto the lawns, the white bouncy castle and giant deckchair were a massive hit!
All in all a super day, the champagne flowed all day and into the night, everyone danced, everyone smiled and I would imagine that at the end of the night all the guests could safely say it was a party to end all parties!
Thank you Holly and Geoff for everything you two were so lovely to photograph, thank you to all the family for looking after us so well, and we hope to see you all at another wedding! (although the grooms Dad did inform us at the end of the night he has now run out of children to be married!)
We wish you both a lifetime of fun and laughter with a few helicopter rides and speedboat trips to add to the sparkle!
