It was a privilege to work at such a special and historical location, but also a privilege to work with such a wonderful couple of people. Gina and Mark filled their wedding day at St. Mawes Castle with laughter and smiles and a few tears during the speeches too!
The most perfect weather awaited this lovely bride as she arrived to the castle to marry the man of her dreams. Her guests all sat within the cool castle walls, as Gina walked over the bridge with her Mum to start the service. Gina looked stunning in her wedding dress, her daughter beside her and her sister and niece. Mark and his men in full Cornish Tartan, looked so smart and traditional. The wedding was filled with colour, summer flowers adorned the castle at every opportunity, and everything tied in with the vibrant Cornish colours and theme.
Words cannot express just how beautiful this wedding was was. The views took your breath away and the sunset so close to midsummer was incredible. We mingled with the guests and family and casually captured it all. It was lovely to see familiar faces of weddings gone by and delightful to see all the children running and playing in the castle grounds like little princes and princesses.
The wonderful ease at which this day was run was most certainly a touch from Gina and Mark. This lovely couple wouldn’t have had it any other way. The day was relaxed and lovely. A hog roast was served to the guests and drinks served on the lawns, while we all took in the most amazing views.
Thank you Gina and Mark for making us feel so very welcome at your day, for looking after us so very well and for providing the most incredible backdrop a wedding photographer could ask for. We will never forget your wedding at St.Mawes Castle and our photos will hold the moments there forever for you. Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter.
