Well Easter came and went in a flurry of Chocolate, time off and a smidgen of work.
Had a wonderful morning meeting brides ( and grooms) to be, in the conservatory at The Carbis bay Hotel. Ordered a large pot of coffee and spent the morning looking out to sea, dreaming of sunny days with a bit of business in between. Amazing morning!
So excited about the spring weddings. I love the flowers this time of year, the fact the trees are blooming and budding and bursting. I love the energy, the lighter evenings, and the undertone of excitement that summers round the corner (and the beaches are still empty). Officially, my spring starts in May, and roll on spring time! I think our first one is The Carbis bay Hotel, with Tregenna Castle the next day
Had a really funny baby shoot as well. The client really wanted to re-create the classic baby in nappy shot, curled up fast asleep on a large white bed. In theory, sounds easy ?? in practise try it with a wide awake baby thats just learnt to flip onto its side and only wants to do that time and time again. Bless the mother, time and time again she ‘arranged’ her little bundle of baby only for baby with a whoop of delight to, and fast as it could , she would ‘flip’
As you learn when photographing children, sometimes it just isn’t meant to be, but we got some lovely smiling, laughing, wide awake flipping over action photographs which I am sure the parents will be proud of. I did a few ‘classic’ baby feet shots too as I felt bad about the lack of sleepy ones!!
