A chilly grey April day was brightened up with Jane and Damo’s wedding.
It’s just the two of us! Jane said when she called me to book, we don’t live here, we haven’t even really told anyone we are getting married! Already I liked this couple, its a brave thing to do and Jane was so lovely on the phone.
They booked the Carbis Bay Hotel and we organised to meet in their room where they were getting ready together.
As soon as we met, we clicked. They were drinking champagne, helping each other pin button holes and corsages on, and were such a lovely happy go lucky couple.
The service was in the Godrevy room at The Carbis Bay Hotel, and as I stood at the back, the conservatory doors were open and all I could hear the was gentle lapping of the sea and the odd cry of a seagull, as Jane read her poem to her new husband. It was touching, romantic and so special. Vicky the wedding coordinator at The Carbis Bay Hotel was a witness , and we felt like we were part of a big special secret.
After the service Vicky opened yet another bottle of Champagne, we all toasted the Bride and Groom, and then the fun began.
The drizzle and grey sky’s didn’t bother Jane and Damo, even though Jane had her stunning dress on and perfect shoes. Off we headed to the beach and then Damo really did come into his own. One of the funniest guys we have ever met, he set the tone of the rest of the day, fun and laughter. I think every picture we have of Jane she is just laughing, at one point she said now I must have some serious photos, then Damo jumped into the air button hole flying off and she dissolved into giggle again.
We can honestly say we had so much fun, we loved being part of your special day guys and we know you will be so very happy together forever more. You were absolutely amazing, and when we left and Damo said he thought he was going to cry, although he looked so sad and serious, of course we all started laughing again.
Best of luck to the both of them, and the photos… well they are just fab!
