When we arrived at Tregenna Castle yesterday I was taken back to Mayday in our village years ago. Charlotte and Barry had created for their wedding day, a mini-Mayday. Bunting marked out there very own ‘village green’ complete with coconut shy, clap-board dolly and a maypole.
The attention to detail followed through to the dining room where each guest had a vintage tea cup, vintage style napkin and paper mache cupcake. The flowers were a burst of spring colour and the home made fairy cakes that Charlotte and Barry made with love themselves, looked delicious.
The service took place outside, on Tregenna Castles lawn, even though the weather nearly put a spanner in the works. The service was so touching there wasn’t a dry eye to be seen.
Charlotte arrived and looked absolutely stunning, in a vintage style amazing backless dress, with the most beautiful beading, she just shone! ( and Barry looked very handsome too! )
Even though the heavens did open, it did wait until the service was over and we had got some outdoor shots. The brave maypole dancers, still danced on in the lashing rain, but moved their maypole nearer to Tregenna Castles doorway so the wedding party could watch and stay dry. I think the rain and the grey sky’s did make it a real mayday though!
Such a photogenic couple, we did of course get some beautiful photographs.
We loved it all, and want to say a massive well done to Charlotte, who did as she said she would, she got that maypole!!
Lovely, lovely couple, we wish you all the best for a beautiful future together.
