Another wonderful wedding at The Carbis Bay Hotel, Alison and Dave Beddoes.
When we met last year, Dave and Alison were keen to make their wedding day, not just a day, but a whole weekend. And they really did. Not living in Cornwall, they even had evening guests, travelling in from a far.
Dave booked us to photograph the stag night, which then became the stag and hen in one. The evening started off at The life Boat pub in St.Ives and ended up at Peppers for a meal for 35 people. It was lovely and a chance for us to meet the wedding guests and get a real feel for the wedding. Everyone was lovely and the weather just couldn’t be better. It was one of those lovely balmy nights that cornish summers are made of.
On the Saturday when we arrived the sea looked amazing, the beach looked like a perfect tropical island beach and the hotel was a buzz of activity. Alison’s sister was the florist, a friend the cake maker and decorator and there was family and friends buzzing around making it all happen. It was just lovely.
We spent the morning with Alison in her beautiful room, we could see the conservatory down below where the service was taking place. the harpist was tuning her harp, Dave was buzzing about doing the last moment things grooms do and Victoria from the Carbis Bay Hotel was working her usual magic.
The wedding was blissful, Alison looked amazing, the sparkles on her dress and shoes just bounced off the sun light.
There was games on the lawn for the guests, while we sneaked to the beach with the bride and groom.
The evening ended with guests strolling to the beach, rolling up suit trousers and having an early evening paddle. It was a wedding day dreams are made of.
Alison and Dave, you are such lovely people and we had a wonderful weekend with you both. Best of luck with your future together, we have a feeling you may be living in St.Ives one day….. so I am sure we will meet again.
