This Easter was going to be a busy time for us both here at Kiss Photography. We had lots of wedding in the diary and then something happened that not only changed our little course, but changed the whole world. As with everyone we have had time to reflect on lots of things. Our wedding couples for this year have been in our minds a lot, every booking we have had to move to next year or the winter of this year has made a massive impact. We can only imagine the heartache it must have caused, and everyday we should have been photographing your wedding we have been thinking about you both.
Wedding photography is how our business started many years ago, its our baby. As our business grew and we ventured into the world of corporate photography we had to make a decision as to where our business was going. Weddings was something we decided we could not walk away from, its such an honour to be part of such an amazing day, the best day of peoples lives. The hours and hours of planning, editing and dealing with printers that we put into every wedding is done out of love and passion, certainty not the hourly rate. We love the details, the fun, the atmosphere. We love stepping back and capturing the smiles, the love the moments. We have really missed you all. This Easter was to be the start of our wedding season and it never started. We look forward to being part of your day next year or later this year, and until then we are always here on the other end of the phone to go through any details, date changes , venue changes.
I grabbed my camera the other day, our town, St.Ives has taken on a different feel during all this and I wanted to capture the empty streets, the quite beaches. This is a time that will never happen again. The town itself and every single business here is suffering greatly, but the people of St.Ives are staying strong, helping each other out and still smiling. Who wouldn’t living in such a beautiful place? The images are of my little exercise each day, with my daughters and my dog, walking through the empty streets and beaches of the town I love so much, a town that is not quite the same but still wonderful and quite haunting.
