Another amazing weekend for Kiss Photography.
Yesterday we photographed Anne and Kenny’s wedding at The Pedn Olver hotel in St.Ives.
When we met them, only a few months back, we knew we enjoy photographing there wedding, a lovely relaxed fun couple, that were just so laid back about it all, and just so very sweet.
It was everything we knew it would be.
There wedding became a wedding weekend, rather than a wedding day. Guest’s travelling from Yorkshire, Scotland and somerset checked in on the Friday and chilled out with Anne and Kenny, and as late afternoon fell, everyone ( after watching the rugby of course) just drifted off to their rooms to get dressed.
Anne looked incredible. Her evening dress was a rich pewter colour, with a bias cut fish tail, and when she stood on the rocks, I could only think of of a beautiful winter mermaid. She was an absolute star, the rain had come in, a fine misty drizzle, she was not sure if to bother with photos outside, Kenny was up for it, we were easy either way, then she said why not! She tip toed over rocks in 4 inc heels, like a true lady, and she smiled and giggled throughout. I told her she was bride of the year, but I have changed my mind, bride of the century. Anne we loved you, what a star, and the photos were worth it, you look fabulous!
Kenny, well Kenny was in full mess dress ( I believe the term is, although I am not too sure) but anyway, whatever the correct term is, he looked amazing, kilt, sporran, sword, dagger, ribbon, medals, everything a military man could and should have was there, shinning and gleaming and looking wonderful.
We loved the Scottish theme that appeared throughout, the thistle button holes, the glimpses of tartan on the bouquet, we loved the chilled out vibe that was just how Anne and Kenny wanted it. The guests were lovely, the candle lit evening meal the guests were treated to after sipping champagne and nibbling canapes all afternoon, was the perfect end to a lovely winter wedding, but we know that was not the end, as Anne and Kenny’s friend, was going to sing after, and we know there was going to be a lot of boogy-ing going on, as we heard the practice and she was just FAB!!!!!
Ann… Kenny, we wish you love and happiness forever. Thank you for letting us capture your wonderful day
