Something old…… something new……… on Saturday we worked at a new venue for us. Which is always lovely, its a bit different, it’s a new challenge, ( where are the best spots, what if the weather’s bad), don’t get me wrong, we love our ‘old favorites’ they fit like a glove, but on Saturday we packed up our van and drove to Mullion Cove to the Pollurian Hotel. We had done a recce and knew we were in for a treat, especially as the sun was shining down on us and Cornwall was looking stunning.
We met Emma and Brett, the bride and groom last year. Such a talented couple, Emma is a runner (9th lady in the London Marathon this year… yes 9th!)
Brett is the drummer in the band even nine. If your from these parts and know your live music, you will know Brett and the boys, brilliant! And to top it all they were really into their photography.
The Pollurian Hotel is a fantastic hotel, with really nice friendly staff, it had that wonderful family run feel, and it felt liked they really cared about the wonderful day that was about to take place.
Brett and the men looked really smart and we got some fantastic shots of them. Brett was relaxed and happy to go along with it all.
We spent the morning with the wonderful Emma, a happy, smiley, wonderful person, who was a joy to be around.
The wedding theme was sweet peas, the flowers, the cake, colours, everything in delicate lilacs, pastel pink and creams. Even Emma’s jewelery. Feminine, pretty and just perfect for a wedding.
Emma’s dress,……. I will just let you see the photographs below, stunning stunning stunning!
The Pollurian Hotel overlooks rugged amazing Cornwall at its very best. And on the beach we even had horses.
Emma and Brett’s day could not have gone off better for them, the hottest day of the year so far, lovely hotel, wonderful couple, cute bridesmaids, lovely guests and a best man who bent over backwards to ensure everything went to plan, and then delivered a video diary speech that had the guests in tears of laughter.
The perfect day ended with Brett and his band doing a live set for the guests, and we left the happy couple drumming and dancing the night away.
Brett and Emma, thank you for choosing KISS Photography, I can honestly say it was a pleasure. Thank you so much for the cake ( you don’t know how much that meant to me.. I am the cake version of the cookie monster!)
We wish you love, laughter, music and races for ever x
