OK so today words fail me, gobsmacked and quite amazed….
We only met the bride and groom Kate and Dave a few days ago, it was at The Carbis Bay Hotel, they had laps tops, phones ringing, paperwork out, they had come down from Bristol and were getting everything finalised for their wedding at the hotel. We ran through what we needed to do, it was all professional, and quite serious….. but today the true colours shone through… I have two words (human pyramid) I still cant believe that Kate, in her beautiful fitted wedding dress, with train, made the decision to be the top part of a all girl human pyramid on Carbis Bay beach, then she made the lads do it and climbed up again. She then paddled in her dress, did races and jumped so high she looked like she was on a trampoline.. she was funny, incredible, and had this wonderful crazy side, that we just loved.
Anyway, I digress, the service was lovely, Kate cried, then everyone cried and the room was filled with emotion. The Carbis Bay Hotel, looked beautiful as always. The flower girls so cute, and so sweet.
The guests then moved onto the terrace for champagne and canapes and the bride, groom hens and stags on Kate’s request went to the beach. I have never photographed a group of people so up for it, we got some really fun, crazy, photographs that summed up the afternoon . They all had a ball.
Even though Kate seemed to be flung through the air and dunked in the sea, and challenged to races and who can jump the highest? , she emerged looking just as beautiful as she did when she walked into the room to marry Dave.
We had a lovely afternoon. Dave and Kate, we wish you all the best and we know you will laugh ( and jump?) your way through life.
