Yesterday we left The Harbour Hotel in St.Ives and I said how when you photograph such a lovely group of people how you don’t even feel like you have been to work. Janette and Greg, celebrated their marriage to each other with close friends and family, in such a relaxed way the whole day just came together and was quite perfect.
I spent the morning with Janette and her daughter while they were getting ready. Jeanette is such a lovely person and it was really a pleasure spending time with her and Alice.
The guests mingled in the bar with Greg and his sons, and Ricky captured the party downstairs. As the couple wanted a real relaxed affair the hotel were serving champagne to the guests and nibbles before the service. And the party atmosphere began.
Janette wore a shimmering oyster coloured dress that moved beautifully and just shimmered in the sunlight. When Greg saw her and Alice he said it was like seeing two Grecian goddesses. Alice’s dress complemented her mothers perfectly.
Greg walked down the aisle with his three lovely boys and Janette walked in on the arm of her son Tom with Alice in front.
The service was lovely and the front rows were filled with their five children, and everybody was just so happy for them.
The children were such a massive part of the day, they said speeches, welcomed guests, Alice and George were fantastic getting all the guests in down to the beach and in place for photographs.
When we met with the couple, I remember Janette was so keen on a relaxed beachy time, paddling in the sea and having fun. I am pleased to say everyone got their feet wet on the day. It was just as the couple had hoped for.
We got some lovely fun happy relaxed shots that I know the couple will be happy with.
The theme for the wedding was ‘beach’ ; the cake had a shell and sand theme, there were shells on the tables, sticks of rock were given out, the place cards were hearts in the sand, and I am so very happy that the weather played the game and allowed the beach theme to become reality. I think the younger children at the wedding were just made up that they were allowed to go into to the sea in there beautiful dresses and suits! I also love the fact that most of the ‘formal’ photos the men had their trousers rolled up, so not ‘formal’ at all, just wonderful.
Thank you Janette and Greg for being so wonderful to photograph, thank you for the wonderful meal and for looking after us so well!!
Thankyou to their kids for all their help throughout the day. We know you will all have the most amazing life together, and we wish you happiness and love.
