Amber and Matt got hitched at The St Ives Harbour Hotel today.
We hadn’t met the couple, in Amber’s word’s ‘You guys are the professionals, so we didn’t feel we needed to meet you, as you know just what to do!’, and that pretty much sums up just how relaxed and chilled out these two lovely people are.
We arrived to find Amber in a bedroom with goodness knows how many people, changing a nappy with her tiara on. She was changing hotel rooms and asked us to come back. When I re-met her, cool as a cucumber, and the numbers in the room reduced to approx. 12 including me, she was on a mission not in any uncertain terms to be late. She had her dress on an hour and twenty minutes before the wedding, the bridesmaids were also dressed and ready and she was still, chilled to the max!
She looked wonderful in a off white satin dress encrusted with crystals with a beautiful side swathe. Her gorgeous little girl Imogene looked the true princess and the younger bridesmaids wore a beautiful emerald green.
The Harbour Hotel looked its wonderful self, and the service went off perfectly. Matt looked so very smart in top hat and tails, alongside his Dad, and brother.
The rain didn’t spoil the special day, and the drizzle held off for 15 mins, that allowed us to go to the beach to get the beachy shots they so wanted. It did mean we couldn’t get the guests down to Porthminster beach as was the original plan, as after the bride and groom shots, it completely poured down. But when you are in a beautiful hotel, with lovely large spaces, we could get everything done that the couple wanted.
Amber and Matt love Cornwall, and love it even in the pouring rain, so it didn’t dampen what was a beautiful day, filled with lovely people.
A small taster of the Harbour Hotel Wedding below; and wishing the three of you a truly wonderful life together.
