Its not everyday we get to go to the beach, a church on the sea front and a woods in one day. Its not every day the wedding guests get to play hook a duck, video games and country dance. Its not every day wedding guests toast the bride and groom… with toast! But Jo and James are not your every day couple, and deciding to get married on a leap year day was the start of this wonderful fantastic wedding, with these two amazing people.
Jo and James it was a pleasure and a honour to capture your unique and beautiful day.
I spent the morning with the chilled-out, happy-go-lucky beautiful bride-to-be Jo. Her smile could light up a room, and it lit the hearts of every guest that attended I am sure. While Ricky spent the morning with James, at the church cottage on the water front, where him and his men braved the freezing cold water for a pre- wedding dip.
The guests arrived down the tiny winding country roads in a minibus to the church, with bucks fizz being served by Jo’s sister, and the party atmosphere began.
The bride and groom had thought of everything, even providing picnic bags so the guests didn’t get peckish before the meal at The GreenBank hotel.
We took photos at the church, at the beach, then the guests went to The Greenbank Hotel, while we went with Jo and James for a fun photoshoot in the nearby woods. James and Jo ran, piggy-backed and climbed trees, and we had a lovely time capturing them being them ( a bit wild and crazy, but just so wonderful )
When we arrived back at The Greenbank, the guests had games to play before and after the meal, the cake was cut with a sword and the folk band got the whole reception guest’s dosy-doeing!
We loved this wedding! we loved Jo and James, and we wish them a lifetime of crazyness, fun and smiles.
Thank you guys for looking after us and to The greenbank for being just fantastic. And to Jo and James family and friends for making our day so easy and lovely. We think you are all great x
