Its been a few weeks since we at Kiss Photography blogged!
November was an extremely busy month, a lot of our summer brides that never quite got round to proofing their wedding albums came back to us with rush jobs to get the albums in before the family descended at Christmas. I liked the thought of all the family gathering around looking at the brand new album at Christmas time reminiscing about the special wedding day at Tregenna Castle/ Carbis Bay Hotel/ The St Ives Harbour Hotel etc. Our printers were under a lot of pressure, but as always pulled through for us and got everything in right on time, and our courier company, even with the Christmas rush were as always perfect! We have a great team working behind the scenes for us and that’s a really nice feeling!
At New year I like to reminisce myself, 2012 was a very special year for us at Kiss Photography, we won the West Country Wedding Awards for reportage Photography and got some wonderful feed back from our brides and grooms. We met some truly special people and come rain or shine the weddings were perfect.
One of our photographs also won a competition held at The Green Bank Hotel, based purely on public votes, and the lovely couple won a free weekend away.
We have also featured on the fabulous wedding website Pasties and Petticoats, which all you cornish brides to be really should follow !
We were asked to shoot for Prima Magazine, and it was published in the November 2012 issue. It was a wonderful article on starting a new life in Cornwall and it was fun trying to portray winter on a crowded beach in August! We did it though!
We seemed to spend a lot of time in campervans this summer mostly with VW Wedding Hire and Strawberry Leisure. Both a total pleasure to work with. We photographed our first civil partnership at Tregenna Castle, and also our first Hand fasting ceremony at Madron well. We spent a lot of time with Plan9 videos, who is always a pleasure to work alongside with. Ricky impressed a whole wedding party with his sewing skills when a bridesmaids zip broke.
We have couple’s come to Cornwall to get married from far and wide, and covered lots of local couples too.
