Ashley married Neil yesterday at the lovely Tregenna Castle in St.Ives.
We hadn’t met this couple until their big day, which often happens when people come from other parts of England or even other countries to get hitched in Cornwall. And what a lovely time to meet a couple, on the best days of their lives! Neil was chilled and enjoying the build up, there was a party atmosphere as a musician was playing, the guests were all mingling and we got some lovely photographs.
Soon it was time for the service which was held in the elegant Trelawney Room. The bridesmaids looked stunning in black chiffon dresses holding black and hot pink roses. Ashley followed in ivory with lace and looked wonderful.
I just loved the dramatic colour scheme, even the cake was black and hot pink, another amazing creation by Cake by Design.
The weather wasn’t the greatest, but it did mean that when we hit the beach there wasn’t another soul on it, which I thought was quite special and quite romantic. We had a fun 15 minutes, Neil keeping Ashley warm with lots of cuddles. They were such a great couple, it wasn’t warm, but they wanted the beach shots and they braved a typical changeable Cornish Day.
And even in the cold and drizzle a Sweet Indulgence ice cream still goes down well and the Dark Chocolate and Cherry did seem to go with the wedding colours, was this a coincidence?
