Last weekend Laura married Darren at a beautiful church in Helston. We were lucky enough to get to spend the morning with Laura in her fantastic hair salon B-gorgeous, complete with its own bridal room! A room full of bridesmaids, a bride, family members and friends, children and the odd husband or two and yet such calmness.
Laura looked just incredible and this was before the dress had even been put on. We then drove to Laura’s house for the final part of bridal preparation. Laura wore a stunning Ian Stuart Bridal dress and her flowers were antique dusky pinks and ivory roses. The bridesmaids had roses with blue Muscari that looked so very pretty and seasonal.
The wedding colours held a touch of romance and yet this wedding was right there with modern touches, the “cheese” cake, the fantastic LOVE light up sign that was at the cake table, the evening fireworks and Laura’s fab pink suede shoes with gold lace heels, yes I fell in love and so want a pair!
We drove to the church and were disappointed to learn the vicar said no to photos apart from one of the rings from a long distance away and one of the registrar. Always a big crush for reportage photographers but we have to do as the clergy ask of us, but spotting guest’s sneaking a few with their i phones we did sneak a few too, it only seemed fair…
Laura and Darren were picked up in one of Darren’s Helston taxis that he owns, with the words ‘Limo” and “just married” on the side just for the special occasion and we followed the wedding party to the fantastic Carbis Bay Hotel in St.Ives.
It was cold, but the sun was out an our beach photos look incredible. The children played on the beach and we got some wonderful moments. The party was in full swing inside and soon the bride and groom were back in the warm sipping Mojitos and catching up with their friends and family.
The Carbis Bay Hotel really know how to throw a party and this wedding was no exception, the food was incredible, the service impeccable and the room looked amazing. Soft whites and candles lit set the tone for the evening.
We had a wonderful day, Laura and Darren are just fantastic people who deserve the best life has to offer. Lots of love and all the best to this gorgeous family!
