Another yoga shoot for PR and web site. This was shot in St.Ives as its holds a special place in the teachers heart, its where she grew up, but moved north in her teenage years. She was back on holiday and wanted something that hold special memories. The work was beautiful and lots of poses on the rocks as the waves crashed in. The way Ricky has cropped the photos it looks like there is nothing between the teacher and the sea. Very beautiful and very different from the last yoga shoot. Each teacher has their own style and brings that with them to the day.

Woke to a grey, drizzly, misty August day. It was only 6 am so there was time for it all to blow over and clear, because Kiss Photography were photographing Jenny and Robs wedding at the Porthminster Hotel, St.Ives.
Usually we walk ourselves down with all our equipment when the wedding is literary on our door step, but but 8.30am when it was time to leave we decided to drive and load the car boot full of umbrellas …… just in case!!!
The weather did clear enough for us to take Rob and Jenny to Porthminister Beach, and for us to get the family outside for the group photographs. The mist lifted for the beautiful views to be appreciated and enjoyed, and Jenny even contemplated going into the sea for a dip, something we were looking forward to capturing on camera, but she found herself rather busy having a wonderful time in the end!
What a lovely couple, it was such a pleasure to work with you both. The wedding party, made up of family and close friends, were all so friendly and we had a really wonderful day.
Very late last night we had a look at what we had, and I know Jenny and Rob, you are going to be thrilled with the results.

Lots of weddings and lots of rain, but we manage to dodge it most of the time. Flicking through the diary this morning and got to October, a quick count up and reliased that October is actually going to be one of our busiest months, do they know something we don’t? Is everyone just sick of the British summers and is now wanting to get married in the Autumn/Winter? looking back at past years, we get some fabulous sunny days in October. Is October the new June/July? See you then all of you that have booked and bring on the sunshine!

Trash the tux as well as the dress!!!
I had to write about the wonderful day we had today! We were booked for a trash-the-dress shoot, which we were very much looking forward to. We photographed her wedding and so we knew how easy going the bride was and also what good fun we had with her and her husband on the day.
We didn’t expect the groom to be in his wedding tux too..
We started off at a campsite where we were meeting the couple, it was such a great location with a park and beautiful coastal views we decided to start the shoot. She swung on the swings, went down the slide, even the death slide she took a shine too, she laughed and screamed and had a ball.
We then jumped in our car and went to an old tin mine, we have always wanted to shoot at, but never had. It was so peaceful there, the shoot took on an almost unrealistic feel, like we were cut off from the real world. So in their finery, they climbed walls, ran through wild heather, draped themselves across stairs. The end results were quite beautiful, almost the wedding photos you would really want to have, but would never want to put your dress through it!
The final location had to be the beach, we arrived amongst the August crowds and she ran into the sea (the groom did not partake in this!), her silk cut-on-the-bias skirt off the dress fanning out as the waves crashed around her. The shot of purple tuile that was under the main skirt flicked up as each wave broke. Quite mermaid like, quite stunning and a photographers dream!
She also had an evening dress that was worn at the wedding, she didnt want to trash this, as it’s a dress she does wear time and time again, but she did want a few photographs of her and hubby on the beach, as the February wedding was an evening affair, it was pitch black outside once the service had taken place so it didnt allow for any beach shots. We got some lovely work with outfit number two also, and when they saw the end result, both her and her husband were so happy.
We had such a great day and the bride was such a superstar and the dress……….well she bundled it into a Tesco carrier bag and said, I might take it home and dye it now, I may even wear it again!
