Monthly Archives: January 2010

I love January, a time to catch up, reflect and organise the year ahead. This year is looking very busy for Kiss Photography, but we are pleased to say so is next year…..already!!
We have some really fun weddings booked with us that we are really looking forward to working on, and some fantastic brides and grooms that we feel we are friends with already, just from our pre-wedding meetings!
We have so many weddings booked at Tregenna Castle that I feel Kiss Photography St Ives should just hire a log cabin and move in for the wedding season!
So only a short while left before our feet ( or camera!) don’t touch the ground, we are trying to get our web site gallery up dated, as last year was so very busy, we didn’t even get chance.

Broody Brides
Had a fun day at the Kingsley Village wedding fair, run by a Certain Style. Met loads of brides and took loads of bookings for 2011. The highlight of the day it seemed was our 10 week old baby girl, who came with us….. so many broody brides out there! She really was the star of the show, the best booking for wedding photography we got was from a future bride who actually booked us for her wedding at Tregenna castle, but didn’t even seem to be looking at our work as she flicked through our books, she only had eyes for baby Lanta! ( might have to bring you with us for the next one at The Falmouth Hotel!!)

Looking back on 2009, KISS Photography had a wonderful year.
We photographed lots and beautiful weddings, and managed to dodge the rain, somehow ( we worked our magic), we met some fantastic people.
Working as a wedding photographer is not just about taking beautiful pictures, I was thinking back on this year and the things we got up to to help the day run smoothly for the bride and groom, because a smiling groom and a happy bride, makes better pictures at the end of the day…. and we are nice people also!
We got involved in lacing up wedding dresses, because no-one could or was around to!
We tied ties for grooms, and pinned on button holes for best men.
We sorted out drinks for guests when the hotel staff forgot ( we wont mention any names here!)
we found towels after a bride had a paddle in the sea, we have calmed nerves, handed out tissues for tears, convinced paige boys NOT to pick there nose every time a group photo is being taken and made many children smile for the camera!
Its been a beautiful year of smiles and laughter and I look back on our work proudly. I am looking forward to 2010 as I know things are only going to get busier and better for KISS Photography.
Hopefully see all the brides to be at our next wedding fair at Kingsley Village in Cornwall. organised by A certain Style
