I think one of my favorite wedding moments ever was yesterday walking down Fore Street with a bride and groom and their whole wedding party and guests. I love the casualness of it and I loved the surreality  of it  mixed in with all the locals and tourists, and it was just so Rachael and Steve, casual and chilled out. When we met this lovely couple last year , they knew already that they were going to wander through the streets with their guests to the beach after their service at St.Eia Church in St.Ives, casual champagne on the beach with the guest’s, then walk to The Loft for theView full post »

Jason and Andrea tied the knot at Truro School Chapel today. Both of them work at the school and met there, so it held a special place for them, and part of their history. The Chaplain knew them both. All their colleagues were there and a student from the school sung a duet with Andreas daughter. It was an amazing and personal, touching service. Wonderful ! When Andrea arrived, she had the total WOW factor. She looked incredible in a fitted bias cut dress, and her beautiful daughters in fuchsia pink as her bridesmaids. Jason’s friend, known on the day as ‘VW man’ , providedView full post »

Rebecca married Barrie today at The Carbis Bay Hotel. When she walked down the stairs, in the most amazing dress with her proud Dad, she looked a million dollars! An oyster dress with the most beautiful details, tiny pearls, diamante, delicate lace, and a gorgeous lace- up back. Teamed with a veil, she was a true princess. A wedding party made up of close family and friends, all of who were such lovely people, it was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with them. After a lovely service in the Carbis Bay Hotel conservatory the guests spilled out onto the lawn and then we all drifted down to theView full post »

We just love working at The Carbis Bay Hotel, we know it so well, we love Victoria the fabulous wedding coordinator and we just love Carbis Bay Beach. So today was a fab day, and the weather was wonderful as well. Phoebe married Robin in the conservatory at The Carbis Bay Hotel, and the sun was shinning through the sea looked stunning and the hot pink and purple theme looked amazing with the black and white colour scheme the conservatory has. We hadn’t met the couple beforehand, so we quickly found the most nervous looking bloke, and yep! it was the groom. We took him away with hisView full post »

A wedding, a VW camper Van ( supplied by Cornwall VW Wedding hire ) , a massive amount of planning around beaches and tide times, reception venue with full length windows of the beach and YES YES YES the sun did shine on Natassja and Luke. Thank goodness for that, it was touch and go in the morning, but this wedding needed and called out for a sunny day and we got it! We met this lovely couple some time ago, and they wanted a lovely relaxed wedding to suit their chosen venue, the Sand Bar and to suit them. They tied the knot at their local church in Newlyn, where Natassja’s parents andView full post »

A wedding on a private beach, not a soul in sight, a stretch of sand untouched by footprints, and down you stroll with your new bride.. sounds like this is for you?? then get wed at The Harbour Hotel in St.Ives, then have the rain stop just moments before you step onto the sand, this is what Jess and James had today . Porthminister beach looked stunning and there was not a person to be seen, just Jessica, James, and their bridal party. After a lovely service and a glass of champagne, we asked Jess how she wanted to play it. The rain was.. well raining.. we didn’t have much time beforeView full post »

Tamzine married Chris yesterday at Chacewater Church near Truro. The vicar managed to add humour and fun into what was a beautiful and touching service. Afterwards we sped off with them to the beach, where the weather really didn’t play the game, but as Tamzine said, she’s a farmers daughter, a bit of rain didn’t bother her, she didn’t even opt. for the umbrella! Looking at the photographs after, I am pleased to say, the rain didn’t bother us either as they look fantastic. They were driven by Cornwall VW Wedding hire in a gorgeous cream VW camper. The receptionView full post »

Simon and Tara married today at Tregenna Castle. This lovely chilled out couple deserved for today to run perfectly, and it did. The weather could not have been better, Tara could not have looked better in her dress and everyone could not have been happier! We had a lovely morning with the ladies and the lads. Tara was just a wonderful bride to be with, she just got on with her day, with her little girl, her mum and her mates, and I have to say her shoes….. WOW! After the service we went to Porthminister Beach for wedding photographs, and they look amazing. Back to Tregenna for the mealView full post »
