Tucked away in a quiet, secluded valley just three miles inland from the North Cornish coast lies Pengenna Manor, an 800-year-old private house set in over 300 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside. Home to the Blewett family for 150 years, the current owner Richard Blewett (the sixth generation of his family to be at Pengenna) will welcome you and your guests and personally host you throughout your stay.
Completely private and exclusively yours, the Manor is available for exclusive use hire throughout the year. It is a stunning location sitting in a picturesque valley with beautiful surroundings. We at Kiss are one of the recommended suppliers at Pengenna Manor and love working here. Take a look at the following wedding.
Charlotte and Richard
This amazing location is quite perfect to tie the knot and that’s just what Charlotte and Richard did.
Charlotte is a florist at Flower Scene and when we arrived in the morning we were treated to a wonderful sight, literally flowers everywhere. Charlotte had put so much thought, time and detail into the styling of the wedding and the location looked incredible. Pengenna Manor is a stunning old farm house renovated to perfection where the bridal party can stay the night, you get married on the lawns which at present are festooned with cornflowers, poppies and foxgloves. A marquee in the grounds is the eating and dancing area. All of this is within a moments walk.
Charlotte, her Mum and bridesmaids were all staying in the house the champagne was flowing and there was excitement in the air. Charlotte looked incredible in her white and diamante dress, and her hair and make up had a touch of a sixties modern feel that was perfect to complete the look.
Meanwhile the boys were in a tractor going to the local pub for a swift pint.
The sun shone for this fantastic pair and Charlotte was a picture walking out of the house and through the grounds. Her bouquet was hot pink orchids, her favorite flowers and she wore a very trendy flower detail on the back of her dress. The bridesmaids beautiful in different colour dresses that complimented all the flowers and Charlotte’s favorite rose The Alnwick was the star of the floral show. There was so much ribbon, the chair backs, ribbons rings hanging from the marque , it was beautiful. Hearts were also a huge styling part of this day and Charlotte and her boss had designed some fantastic heart table center pieces, there were bark floor displays and urns of flowers. Heart shaped wreaths were hung and the overall effect was stunning and very cool!
The guests dinned on delightful canapes and an ice cream trike served desserts, while we walked in the wild flower garden getting some stunning bridal photography.
As dusk fell the evening guests from neighboring farms arrived through the lit enchanting wood to the grounds, I think was head count was approx 300 so the party was in full swing.
Charlotte and Richard still looking perfect even after such a full day and full of smiles danced the night away to a DJ and a very good musician!
What a fun wedding, lovely to see so many of you from a previous wedding we have photographed. What a great bunch you all are!
